Dan: life is good, trying to ride as much as I can, you?
ShuVL: That’s awesome dude. Glad to hear it. BMX is shut down for me at the moment though… 5 inches of snow on the ground
Dan: nice, I’m slackin on boardin
ShuVL: yea, it’s been a mild season from me… bottomless turns one day though… but surfed more then snowboarded this season…
Dan: i got a surf session in the other day in Westport WA
ShuVL: sick. I was in Maui for that swell in December. … My arms got worked despite swimming for 3 months..hahah it was epic though. How often are you able to get out to surf?
Dan: I just started surfin this past year, I suck I just keep thinking how that perfect transition would be fun on a bike, and I can ride that. I want to get it so bad, I think I would be hooked
ShuVL: Yea, for sure. It’s just all swimming… 90% You’ll get it, and you will be hooked.
Dan: just to get out is fun
ShuVL: Personally. If I could surf everyday, I could give up riding…probably

Dan: that’s the same with my buddy who loves it, doesn’t even ride anymore-just surfs every weekend… ya I am still just getting my ass kicked out there
ShuVL: I think it may be cause there is so much to learn on a surfboard… like when you first started riding a bike. getting the simplest thing done is exciting again…Have you just been riding or are you filming as well these days?
Dan: I really need to film something so I can get a new bike. I am a slacker
ShuVL: What do you mean so you can get a new bike? You’ll only get one if you’re filming?
Dan: I feel guilty if I don’t get coverage, cause I don’t really deserve a new bike if I am not out there representing….. macniel has been hookin it up for about 6 years now
ShuVL:I guess. fair enough. that’s a while. Must be mellow riding for them?
Dan: since the started. for real there are cool… they now how I just do my thing
ShuVL: That’s the way it should be…Darcy is the shit.
Dan: I don’t have to be out there but they know riding is what I do….Darcy is the shit
ShuVL:Yea, exactly. You’ll get it done when you do.

ShuVL: Why hasn’t a new Macneil vid come out? it’s been a Loooong time.
Dan: Because it cost them too much for a video budget, when they can just make a dinky web vid
ShuVL: I see. I like web vids, and I understand the budget thing… but there is nothing like a full-length vid, and every fuckin kid in BMX has a web vid. hahaha.
Dan: I agree, I want one damn it…, I think I’m really stoked to film some stuff
ShuVL: a web vid? Just start some BMX drama… its coverage, and you won’t have to film then poof* new bike.
Dan: lol, no drama for my momma….under the radar, the way I like it.
ShuVL: oh for sure. BMX is better without it….Well get’er done man. Looking forward to it.
Dan: I miss Canada to, I lived in Burnaby for almost 2 years
ShuVL: Anyway man… I’m out.. maybe I’ll see you on the island this year for a Courtney jam???
